Her only request: Food, a ball, and a blanket

EDINBURG – This Edinburg CISD Christmas story has gone viral, and in today’s busy, mixed-up world of social media posts and news stories, that’s not an easy thing to do. Nevertheless, the Santa story of seven-year-old Crystal Pacheco has garnered media attention from not only local media outlets, but national media as well, including CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Post, The Chicago Tribune, Inside Edition, to name just a few. This, according to school district Public Information Officer Romeo Cantu.
“We’re getting calls from all over,” Cantu said by phone Monday. “It’s pretty amazing.”
