The letter that helped convince a jury of Feit’s guilt as it related to the murder of Irene Garza
Ed. note: Published below is a copy of the full text of the letter drafted in 1960 by the Reverend Joseph Pawlicki who then sent it to Rev. Lawrence Seidel concerning the ongoing criminal investigation of John Feit’s role in the murder of Irene Garza. It was read in open court during the Feit murder trial by (inactive) Catholic Priest Thomas Doyle who has gained a worldwide reputation over the years as an expert in sexual abuse cases as they relate to the church.
Doyle, who has a doctorate in (church) canon law and has worked with the Vatican, was one of the first priests in the Catholic Church to bring attention to sexual abuse by the clergy. In 1985, he authored a report on medical and legal issues raised by pedophilia in the priesthood, “and warned of a national scandal if the (church) hierarchy did not accept a sound policy.” (Source: Wikipedia.)
