This story is being written Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 12), so there’s no telling what will happen during tomorrow’s scheduled meeting, set for 5:30 p.m., inside the board room of the Pharr Housing Authority (PHA). On the agenda: to name an interim director to replace former Director Fernando Lopez, who was fired by the Housing Board 3-2 last week (Advance News; Jan. 6).
This week, Lopez’s attorney, Gustavo Acevedo, said that in all likelihood, he will be filing a lawsuit on behalf of his client for wrongful termination and violation of his civil rights.
