Former Hidalgo County sheriff off to Florida federal camp

In the end, former Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño was sent to his location of choice: the Pensacola Federal Prison Camp in Florida. Same place where former 404th State District Court Judge Abel Limas is hanging his hat these days. Treviño pleaded guilty this past July to one count of conspiracy to launder money. He was sentenced to five years. Limas pleaded guilty in 2011 to a charge of racketeering and was sentenced to six years, and began serving his time last July.
