PHARR – Less than two months into the city’s new 288-unit Jackson Place Apartment project, the whole thing has blown up. Not the apartments, but rather, the development agreement in place to get them built.
The project construction began last month.
David Marquez, co-owner of San Antonio-based D&M Ventures LLC, filed a petition for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) Monday against the City of Pharr, hoping it would stall the city’s presumed desire to fire his company as developer of the Jackson Place Apartments during Monday night’s city commission meeting, considering his name was on the agenda.
State District Judge Juan Partida of the 275th signed it Monday afternoon at 1:48 p.m.
