Valley View top soccer team in the Valley

The World of Sports

PHARR – If nobody was sure through the first part of the soccer season who the top boys team in the Valley is this year, there’s not much doubt.

It’s Valley View.

The Tigers have earned that credential as the Tigers have rolled through competition this year, most recently beating two of the toughest teams in their district – Brownsville Porter (6-2) and Brownsville Lopez (6-1) in back-to-back matches.

Against Porter, the Tigers fell behind 1-0. While the goal had visions of an upset going through Porters’s eyes, all it did to Valley View was stoke a fire inside the Tigers, who scored the next six goals and left no question regarding who the next team to possibly with a state title could be.
