Track athletes qualify to the Area meet April 19th at PSJA Stadium
PSJA Southwest track & field athletes qualified to the Area meet to be held April 19 at PSJA Stadium.
Also, two athletes broke school and PSJA ISD records.
Diego Treviño broke the PSJA ISD all-time shot put mark of 59’3” by J.C. Crosby from PSJA High School in 2000. Treviño threw 59”3.5” and placed fourth at the Texas Relays on March 30, 2018.
Ricky Cantu broke the PSJA Southwest School long jump record with a jump of 21’11.5” and placed second at the 31-6A District Track Meet on Thursday, April 5, 2018. The jump also moves Ricky into 10th place on the All Time PSJA ISD standings knocking out Burl Tanner from PSJA High School in 1965.
