Soccer’s bigger than baseball?

Baseball must seem really boring to people if they prefer soccer over the National Pastime. Okay, granted, a 1-0 game can be a big deal in either sport – like watching the hands of a clock moving around the dial. But come on, soccer over baseball? This year’s second game of the World Series drew just 12.9 million people, according to a recent story in The New York Times. To put that in perspective, more people than that turned on the Boob Tube to watch the cable TV show, “The Walking Dead.” Even college football — Florida State U vs. Notre Dame – drew in more viewers than did the opening game of the Series. Game one was worse – 12.2 million.
