PHARR - When PSJA North Head Coach Marcus Kaufmann walked into his team’s locker room, the looks of worry – even near panic - surprised him.
The Raiders had started off their season with an 0-5 record but were coming off their first win of the season the previous Friday against Edinburg North. Now against winless PSJA Southwest and down just 10-0 at the half, they were uncharacteristically shaken by what had transpired during that first half.
The Raiders had been through tougher situations by far this year.
