PSJA school to host Fuel Up to Play 60 event, promoting health habits among children
ALAMO – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo’s (PSJA) Audie Murphy Middle School, 924 W. Sioux Rd., Alamo, will be hosting a Fuel Up to Play 60 event called “Smoothie Endzone” on Friday, Sept. 29, from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
Fuel up to Play 60 is a nationwide in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA. The program encourages today’s youth to lead healthier lives by eating healthy foods and playing in a physical activity for at least 60 minutes a day.
PSJA district chefs and dietitians will be visiting the campus to talk to students about living a healthy lifestyle and will be making healthy smoothies for students to try.
