Soccer more popular than NBA, MLB?

Congratulations this week go out to PSJA North Boys Soccer Team Coach Jacob Hinojosa and his winning team for capturing the 31-5A district title this year before the season’s even over. They won it by beating second-place San Benito last Thursday. They have two games left in regular season play. Good luck in the playoffs.Every time I think soccer, I think of one of the beloved Mexican sports announcers, always sounding like they were in the sports booth having a great time, buzzed on a few Tecates with a couple of blondes in bikinis hovering over their shoulders, waiting for them to jump out of their chairs and scream GOOOAAAAAAAL every time their professional soccer team kicked a goal. And the fans. The NFL has raucous and passionate fans, but nothing like soccer.
