The La Joya Palmview Lobos used a solid running game and clutch defensive play to hold off the McAllen Nikki Rowe Warriors 21-17 in a District 30- 6A clash at La Joya Friday night. The Lobos jumped out to a 7-0 first-quarter lead, but the Warriors responded with a second- quarter surge to take a 10- 7 advantage. Palmview answered with a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half to take a 14-10 lead into intermission.
