Who Should Choose Candidates?

By Tom Haughey

We’re hearing lots of rhetoric against a brokered convention. The “conventional” wisdom seems to be that if deals are cut in Cleveland this summer and Trump is aced out of the nomination, there will be an angry response which will insure that Democrats win the general election. There is almost no talk, however, about Republican voters having already lost their right to select the Republican Party’s candidate.
