Truth Matters

The first segregated black church in America was founded in Baltimore well over a century ago. At the time it was viewed as a wonderful advancement in civil rights because in the era of slavery the slaves had been forced to attend church with whites due to a fear they might otherwise plot escape or revolt. Now blacks were in charge of their own worship.

Over time, of course, segregation itself became almost synonymous with racism because it was imposed by Democrat whites on blacks in the South, demonstrated profound disrespect, and exposed blacks to inferior education. The federal government, therefore, passed laws demanding integration. That integration plan included forced busing when neighborhood schools contained students of only one race. Presidential candidate Joe Biden came under fire in the last Democrat debate for siding with segregationist Democrat senators years ago and trying to make said busing voluntary. The issue, it seems, is still alive within Democrat ranks.
