Should outside money influence local elections?

Same old problem this week, I’m a day late and a dollar short. And I’m losing more brain cells by the day, thanks to the aging process. The local elections took a lot out of me. Especially the one in Pharr. Talk about a head-banging event. And it’s still not over. I had hopes of having more to write about the McAllen ISD bond election for this week’s editorial page, but the little I write this week will have to suffice. Am currently in the process of looking through the election campaign finance reports for the Transform McAllen PAC. What I’m most interested in is how much of the contributions came from outside vendors?
