Why only DHR and Valley Baptist?

WESLACO – Since The Advance News Journal published a story late last month concerning the Knapp Medical Center/Weslaco ISD connection, or disconnection, as the case may be, nothing has changed. The local hospital is still outside the school district’s top tier with regard to health insurance. Meaning, Weslaco ISD employees and any family members included on their insurance plan must either visit Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg or Valley Baptist in Harlingen for hospital needs, in-patient or out-patient, unless they want to pay more out-of-pocket money.
