Truth Matters

If you ever read a book about conducting a political campaign, you’ll run across two rules. The first is that no matter how negative a campaign has been, in the last few days before an election you should stop running negative ads and concentrate on saying good things about your own candidacy. Voters, when they enter the polls, should be thinking about your good points rather than perceiving you as angry. The second rule is that you should be magnanimous toward your opponent if you win and should not come across as bitter if you lose. Only one side followed these rules in the last presidential election.

Hillary was negative right up to the end. When she lost she blamed everything and everybody but herself for her defeat. She blamed married women for being controlled by their husbands. She blamed the basket of deplorables. She blamed Comey. She blamed the Electoral College. She blamed the Russians.
