McALLEN — Santos Hinojosa, 91, died Friday, March 11, 2016, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Nogalitos, Tamaulipas, Mr. Hinojosa was formerly of Pasadena and had lived in McAllen since 1968. He was employed by City of Pasadena, TX from 1956 to 1968 and City of McAllen for thirty years. Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his wife, Hilda; six children, Ariel (Paula), Hilda (†Lionel), Raul Fernando, Frank (Ruth), Judy, Blanca; six grandchildren, Frank Jr., Marisol, Ariel Santos, Nicholas, Stephanie, Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Luis; and a sister, Aminta. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, March 14, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
