Truth Matters

Last week the president signed an executive order which could well reshape the economic landscape of America and dramatically improve life for countless blacks and Hispanics. The reaction of MSNBC, however, was to accuse Donald Trump and his family of profiteering. In Washington D. C. today no good deed goes unpunished. Here’s what is being attacked by the liberal media and Democrats.

Last year’s tax cut bill authorized the Administration to use tax incentives to attack poverty in the most neglected and disadvantaged portions of the United States. Republican Senator Tim Scott had discussed the concept back then with President Trump, and the Donald pushed for a program which would improve living conditions and opportunity in both blighted urban areas and long-neglected rural regions.

Once the legislation was in place, governors throughout the nation were then tasked with selecting specific areas in their states which would be designated opportunity zones. The projections were that up to 100 billion dollars of private money would ultimately be invested in these neighborhoods.
