Two cable networks will air Knell/Patterson case
Hospice protest
There were two highprofile murder trials in Hidalgo County back to back in the fall of 2017: the first was that of Monica Melissa (Palacios) Patterson; the second was that of former Catholic Priest John Feit. Both ended with a conviction and life in prison.
What seems odd, however, is that the Patterson murder case and trial captured more national media attention post conviction and sentencing than did that of Feit. In fact, one cable company was in town late last year, and the second was in town earlier this year to film true-crime shows about Patterson and her murder victim, 96-year-old McAllen resident and WWII vet Marty Knell.
The first show aired last Tuesday on Investigation Discovery (ID Discovery), which is a sister channel to the main Discovery Channel. If you do an online search for “ID Discovery Knell,” a link will pop up that takes you to the website. From there, if you have a cable provider, you can access the episode (Season 2; Episode 7).
