OLIVIA RIVERA

PHARR – Olivia Rivera, 83, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Miss Rivera was born and raised in Pharr. She lived in San Antonio for 40 years and spent the last 10 years of her life in Pharr. She was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr.
Miss Rivera is preceded in death by her parents, Paula and Apolonio Rivera.
She is survived by three siblings, Rafael (Delia) Z. Rivera, Julia (Bobby †) Holsomback, Oralia (Noe) Rodriguez; and numerous loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, May 28, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place Tuesday, May 29, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
