MARGARITA MUNOZ
SAN JUAN – Margarita Muñoz, 88, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at her residence in San Juan.
Born in D’Hanis, Texas, she had lived in San Juan for 22 years and was formerly of Las Milpas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Servando Muñoz; a daughter, Irma Munoz; and a son, Roberto Muñoz.
Mrs. Muñoz is survived by her six children, Julia Muñoz of Modesto, California, Jaime (Elvia) Muñoz of Edinburg, Nancy (Paul) Anderson of North Plains, Oregon, Cris (John) Cater of Eastaboga, Alabama, Servando Muñoz, Jr. of Dallas, Sylvia (Rogelio) Rios of San Juan; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Matilde Martinez Gamez of Laredo; two brothers, Francisco Gamez of Brownsville and Simon Gamez of Florida.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, July 5, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
