PHARR – J. Santana Salinas, 72, died Monday, July 14, 2014, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lilia Salinas; a daughter, San Juanita Salinas; his parents, Apolonio Salinas and Maria Martinez; and four siblings. Mr. Santana is survived by six children, Maria Guadalupe Martinez, Santana Humberto Salinas, Juan Salinas, David Armando Salinas, all of Pharr, Enrique Salinas and Ludivina Salinas, both of San Juan; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today July 15, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
