CBP Seizes Nearly $300K in Methamphetamine at Hidalgo International Bridge

HIDALGO — U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge intercepted $289,000 worth of methamphetamine as it was being smuggled into the United States.
“Our frontline officers’ outstanding commitment towards the CBP mission has enabled them to effect this interception of hard narcotics, although compact in quantity, but still significant in our efforts to keep dangerous drugs out of our communities,” said Port Director Sylvia Briones, Port of Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas.
