Hortencia P. Rodriguez, 84, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Blas Rodriguez; parents, Genaro and Antonia Perez; two sons, Blas Raul Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez; and three siblings, Ramiro Perez, Bertha Gonzalez, and Enedina Mireles. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her son, Javier (Monette) Rodriguez of McAllen; ; two daughters-in-law, Noemi Rodriguez of San Juan, Gilda Rodriguez, of Pharr; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Veronica) Rodriguez, Oscar (Lorena) Rodriguez, Jr., Denise (Stacey) Adams, David Rodriguez, Gloria Isela Rodriguez, Karolina Rodriguez, and Christopher Rodriguez; five great-grandchildren, Mark, Jason, Katelyn, Nicolas, and Sofia four siblings, Dora Gonzalez of McAllen, Gilberto Perez of Falfurrias, Esther Perez of Shiner, and Maximo Perez of Del Rio. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Monday, November 17, 2014, at St.
Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
