Gloria Gamez, 61, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in San Juan. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, she had lived in San Juan since 1994 and was formerly of Pharr. She was a member of Templo Emanuel in Alamo. Mrs. Gamez is survived by three children, Gloria (Mario) Castellano, Audi (Trini) Gamez, Ivan Diaz, all of San Juan; four grandchildren, Abigail Diaz, Faith Gamez, Valerie Castellano, Vivian Castellano; her mother, Manuela Macias; three sisters, Isabel Ramirez, Juanita Ramirez, Rosario Rodriguez; and a brother, Raul Rodriguez. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, Dec. 12, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
