PHARR – Francisco “Pancho” Gonzalez, 74, died Thursday, November 19, 2015, at his residence in Pharr. Born in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, he had lived in Pharr for 65 years and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He worked for Butch’s Oil Field in Edinburg for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Manuela Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 52 years, Belia Gonzalez of Pharr; six children, Frank (Carmen) Gonzalez of Mission, Criselda (Steve) Mayo of Pleasanton, Anna Barbosa, Patricia (Flavio) Cardoza, both of Pharr, Fred (Yvette) Gonzalez, Kassandra (Carlos) Ramos, both of San Juan; 15 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; a sister, Maria H. Gonzalez of Pharr; and a brother, Victor Gonzalez of Reynosa. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, Nov. 20, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
