PHARR — Erasmo Rosales, 84, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Escobares, he had lived in Pharr most of his life. He was a Veteran of U.S. Army, serving during World War II, a member of Woodmen of the World and owner of Rio Auto Sales in San Juan. Mr. Rosales is preceded in death by his wife, Florencia Rosales; two sons, Erasmo Rosales, Jr. and Rolando Rosales. He is survived by his three children, Roel (Nancy) Rosales of Houston, TX, Leo (Margaret) Rosales of McAlester, OK, Rudy (Glenda) Rosales of Burleson, TX; nine grandchildren, Zachary, Robin, Sasha, Abigail, Timothy, Michelle, Faith, Madeline and Samantha; two greatgrandchildren, Kairi Rosales, Annalee F. Mora; and one brother, Ruben Salinas of Houston, TX. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, June 25, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
