PSJA middle school earns first place at Regional Battle of the Books competition

PHARR – Liberty Middle School in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) ISD recently earned first place at the first Regional Battle of the Books competition hosted by the Region One Education Service Center on Wednesday, Feb, 14.
The Liberty Middle School team showed off their reading comprehension skills against 10 campuses from across the Rio Grande Valley. Team members included: Kenya Antura, Amaya Martinez-Alvarez, Tatiana Martinez-Alvarez and Emilio Tirado. Their librarian is Janie Sanchez.
