DORA L. RAMIREZ
Dora L. Ramirez, 84, entered into eternal rest at her home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving husband and children. Dora is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Lopez+, mother, Angelita Lopez+; sisters, Guadalupe+ (Manuel) Cantu, Irene (Adolfo+) Benavidez+; brothers, Ramiro+ (Palmira+) Lopez and Rodolfo+(Alicia) Lopez; brother-in-law Jose Alfredo Ramirez. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Raul Roberto Ramirez; her children Sandra Yvonne (Santana) Garza of Edinburg, Rhonda Roxanne (JD) Salinas of Fair Oaks Ranch, Rina Roberta (Jaime) Gonzalez of McAllen, Raul Roberto III (Dina) Ramirez of Weslaco, Ronica Renee (Steve ) Beller of Denver, Colorado; twenty grandchildren; a sister, Ofelia (Raul) Cavazos of McAllen; her in-laws, Norma (Roberto+) Ornelas of McAllen, Rosie (Roy) Elizondo of Fair Oaks Ranch; and many nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Santana Rene Garza, Samuel Roel Garza, Saul Ruben Garza, Lewis Steve Beller, Alejandro Jose Maldonado, Raul Roberto Ramirez IV, and Honorary Pallbearers: Diego Antonio Ramirez, Arturo Aaron Alaniz, Joaquin Adan Gonzalez, Miguel Israel Ramirez and Lucas Mateo Ramirez. Her family would like to express their gratitude to Monsignor Gustavo Barrera, Father Amador Garza, and Deacon Ray Thomas for their visits and their endless spiritual support. They also would like to thank Anna Guzman, PA-C, and Presidente Home Health. A special thanks to Dr. Alberto Gutierrez and staff at Renaissance Hospice and Palliative Care, McAllen, Texas. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, March 2, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service took place at 11 a.m., Friday, March 3, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment followed at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
