Edinburg CISD tops South Texas in TEA Title I Reward Schools

EDINBURG – The Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced Thursday that nine campuses from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD) have been identified as Title I Reward Schools, which is the most rewards received by any district or charter school in South Texas. “Regardless of the socioeconomic background of our students, they are performing well on the assessments as proven by these Title I Reward Schools recognitions that we have earned in our district,” said ECISD Superintendent Dr. René Gutiérrez. “These latest awards further exemplify the excellent academic programs at the Edinburg CISD.”
