AURORA J. GARZA
PHARR – Aurora J. Garza, 93, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Garza; a son, Javier L. Garza; parents, Santos Hinojosa and Alfredo Jalifi; and six siblings.
Mrs. Garza is survived by three children, Rolando C. Garza, Melissa A. Vela, Velma “Denise” Flores all of Pharr; seven grandchildren, Laura Garza, Jessica Garza, Elise Garza, Marissa Vela and Kristen Vela, Veronica Garza and Jose J. Garza; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Felipa Gutierrez of Wharton,TX, Jose Torres and Pete Torres, both of Mission.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
