SAN JUAN- Aurea Cuellar, 66, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, she had lived in San Juan, Texas most of her life. Aurea dedicated her life to her beloved husband and seven children. Hearing music would bring joy to her, especially when her husband Mr. Lazaro would take her serenades. Her smile and memories will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Mrs. Cuellar Medina is preceded in death by her daughter Ana Maria Campos. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lazaro Cuellar of San Juan; six children, Maria Teresa (Pedro Alaniz) Cuellar, Veronica (Geronimo) Mendoza, Rosa Isela (Jaime Antonio Tovar) Cuellar, Lazaro Cuellar Jr., all of San Juan, Isabel (Juan de Santiago) Cuellar of Edinburg, Adriana (Miguel Angel Flores) Cuellar of Pharr; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday. April 26, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
