PHARR - Arturo Campos, 62, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Bastrop, TX. Born in Mexico, he had lived in Pharr most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Campos; and a brother, Samuel Campos. Mr. Campos is survived by his three children, Veronica Camps of Pharr, Antonio (Irma) Campos of San Juan, and Ulysses Arturo (Jessica) Campos of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Quin Canada, D’Aundre Canada, McKayla Campos, and Mia Campos; five siblings, Saul Campos of Edinburg, Gustavo Campos of Pharr, Irma Rodriguez of McAllen, Dora Leal of Mission, and Esther Leffler of San Antonio, TX; his mother, Margarita Campos; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, July 17, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m., Friday July18. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
