Alicia Kirkhart, 73, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at her residence in Alamo. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and retired from Airport Elementary in Weslaco. Alicia is survived by her husband, Donald Kirkhart; a daughter, Hilda (Ronald) Rodriguez; two grandsons, Ronnie and Joseph; her siblings, Regino Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, Adela Lopez and Avelina Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation was held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, Feb. 12, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 12 noon Friday, Feb. 13, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Resurrection Catholic Church, 312 N. 9th Street, Alamo, TX 78516. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
