Disputed vehicle allegedly at heart of Alamo cop’s arrest on Starr ranch

An alleged gun-pointing incident on a northeast Starr County ranch that led to multiple assault charges against an Alamo police officer reportedly involved the unauthorized use of a four-wheeler vehicle on a private road. Jesus Angel Ramirez, 44, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the alleged rifle-pointing incident that involved the firing of at least two shots. The Starr County Sheriff's Department was notified of the episode at approximately 7:59 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.
