When I landed at Baltimore Airport last week protests were turning violent. The city's mayor spoke about giving the demonstrators room to destroy (and then claimed the press had twisted her words). At the same time she said anyone who wanted to come to Baltimore to help calm things down was welcome. She specifically mentioned that Rev. Al Sharpton was welcome. Yes, Brother Al is widely known for his ability to pour oil on water to calm it down.
