TEODOLO “LOLO” GONZALEZ
EDINBURG — Teodolo “Lolo” Gonzalez, 94, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Alamo and had lived in Edinburg for the past 20 years. He was a US Army Veteran and served during World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gregoria Gonzalez; a brother, Marcos Gonzalez; and two sisters, Maria Gonzalez and Modesta Mendoza. Teodolo is survived by his two children, Veronica (Lucio) Sanchez of Enid, OK, and Jorge (Christina) Gonzalez of Alamo; six grandchildren, Esteban (Clarissa) Castro, Abram Castro, Saida Sanchez, Ashley M. Gonzalez, Allysa M. Gonzalez, Jorge Anthony Gonzalez; six great-grandchildren, Isaiah Castro, Sayreda Castro, Alayna Leann Barraza, Angelina Garza, Ariana Castro, Audrey Castro; four siblings, Gregoria Sanchez, Juan Gonzalez, both of Corpus Christi, Santos Cruz of Alamo, and Javier Gonzalez of Donna. A rosary was held Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon today, March 27, 2015, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
