Second cable show on local murderess
To air this Sunday
The second cable TV truecrime show about the January 2015 murder of 96-year-old WWII vet and McAllen resident Marty Knell at the hands of local hospice director Monica Melissa Patterson will air this Sunday (July 21) on the Oxygen network, owned by NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.
The McAllen murder was first broadcast earlier this month on Investigation Discovery (ID Discovery). Now comes “Take Two,” so to speak. Two truecrime shows about the same homicide back-toback within the span of one month.
The Knell murder on Investigation Discovery was broadcast on its show “Diabolical.” It’s on season 2, and is labeled episode 7. It’s still available online at Investigation Discovery’s website: www.investigationdiscovery.com/tv-shows/diabolical.
