The Commissioners Court appointed former Peñitas Mayor Marcos Ochoa as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3, Place 2 for the term beginning on January 1, 2015. Marcos Ochoa (no relation) replaces former J.P. Ismael “Melo” Ochoa who resigned from office on October 10, 2014, but was re-elected in the November election, making it necessary to appoint a new Justice of the Peace. Marcos Ochoa will be sworn in and take the oath of office for the new term on January 1, 2015.
