At heart, San Fran’s ace reliever, Madison Bumgarner, is a laid-back surfer dude. I can spot them a mile away. Hung out with them, surfed with them (badly), when I lived on the East Coast in the early ‘70s. Virginia Beach, Cape Hatteras, long hair, beard, mumble your words. Life’s a breeze. Call me Mr. Cool.
