Jacob Cavazos has been the undeniable leader of the Weslaco Panthers. The junior started out as a conservative and reliable quarterback - now he’s a big-game, crucial moment commander of a super solid winning team. Of course, he’s had help all around him, on both sides of the ball, and in special teams.
But the Panthers are his team – and as he goes, so do the Panthers. Just look at Friday night’s 23-21 victory over rival Weslaco East in a game that may have turned District 31-6A into a little turmoil.
