Once upon a time, there was a match race between an American and a Russian horse in which the American horse won by 17 lengths. The next day, Pravda reported “Russian horse comes in second; American horse next to last.” Unfortunately, Pravda’s brand of truth is now echoed by our country’s media.
When Mitt Romney ran for president, he was the darling of The New York Times and the broadcast media until he won the nomination. Then he became an evil robber baron who bought failing companies, took them apart, and spit out the pieces. He let one woman die. He mistreated animals by putting his pet in a cage and tying the cage down on the roof of his car during a trip. Even worse than that, he kept “binders of women.” (Those binders, of course, were folders containing the resumes of job applicants, but that didn’t matter.)
