McALLEN – Lilia V. Jacinto, 90, entered eternal rest Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg. Born in Weslaco, she had lived in McAllen for 23 years and was formerly of Elsa. Mrs. Jacinto was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delfino Jacinto; a grandson, Luis Alberto “Bert” Gomez; six siblings, Elida V. Espinoza, Jose Villalpando, Ramiro Villalpando, Rita V. Ybarra, Cristina V. Flores and Guadalupe V. Padilla. Mrs. Jacinto is survived by a daughter, Petra J. (Luis Carlos) Gomez; a son, Rolando (Elizabeth B.) Jacinto, both of McAllen; two grandchildren, Carlos Aron Gomez, Bianca Patricia Gomez; a sister, Concepcion V. Vallejo, of Monte Alto; and three brothers, Eduardo Villalpando, Cristobal Villalpando and Victorino Villalpando, all of Elsa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayed at 6:30 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. today, July 11, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
