GUADALUPE “LUPITA” S. GALVAN
ALAMO - Guadalupe “Lupita” S. Galvan, 72, died Thursday, July 26, 2018, at San Juan Nursing Home.
Born in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, she was formerly of McAllen and had lived in Alamo since 1989. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo, and a 1993 graduate of University of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raul Sandoval; a brother, Jorge Sandoval; three sisters, Yolanda Sandoval, Martha Genoveva Sandoval and Dolores Sandoval.
Mrs. Galvan is survived by her loving husband, Deacon Jesus Galvan of Alamo; a daughter, Martha Edith (Oscar) Garrido of Fort Worth, TX.; four grandchildren, Zaira Judith (Fernando), Magnolia Cecilia (Omar), Jose Jesus, Oscar Ulises; four great-grandchildren, Selena Judith, Oscar Andres, Eveny Inez, Mateo Santino; her mother, Juanita Martinez Viuda De Sandoval of Alamo; nine siblings, Raul Sandoval, Maria Esther Sandoval, Javier Sandoval, Dora Elia Sandoval, Maricela Sandoval, Jesus Miguel Sandoval, Marco Antonio Sandoval, Maria Del Rosario Sandoval, Juan Manuel Sandoval; and her pet dogs, Gory, Maximiliano, Bolita, Cegetas, Alexia; and her pet cat La Flaca.
A rosary was held Friday, July 27, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
