Mayor isn’t backing down

Edinburg fraud case

Usually when an elected official knows he is the subject of a criminal investigation, he or she keeps a low profile. That can’t be said of Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina who’s the target of a voter fraud investigation that involves the Texas AG’s office, the Texas Rangers, and the Hidalgo County DA’s office. Five people have already been arrested and charged with voter fraud; but it doesn’t take a genius to figure that Molina is the guy who is in the cross hairs.

Ironically, it was former JP Mary Alice Palacios, who is also the DA’s aunt, who first complained to the Secretary of State’s Office that voter fraud was committed during the city’s municipal election last May; and without a doubt, she’s made no bones about the fact that she thinks Molina is
