ARMANDO ARCUATE
Armando Arcaute, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully, June 16, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen.
Mr. Arcaute was born and lived in San Juan all of his life.
Armando Arcaute was one of the most kind and good-hearted individuals you ever met. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others, and was a man of faith. He was passionate about preaching the word of God to others, and ensuring that people knew of God in every capacity. Armando served in the United States Army from 1958-1964, and was a mathematics teacher for PSJA ISD for many years. In high school, Armando was a member of the Jefferson High School (PSJA High School) Bear football and baseball teams. Armando will be remembered for being a compassionate, loyal, and a dedicated father, husband, and grandfather.
He now joins his daughter, Emily Arcaute; his parents; and his two brothers in heaven. He is now resting peacefully without any pain or suffering. Armando Arcaute’s family will always miss him, but will never forget him.
Armando is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Arcaute of San Juan; two children, Armando (Micaela) Arcaute of Mission, David (Susan) Arcaute of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, Noe Ramirez, Jr., Joe Castillo, Jr., both of San Juan, Karina Renee Arcaute, Matthew Aaron Arcaute, both of Mission, Claudette Mandujano of Ohio, Carlo Rizalado, Clariza Rizalado, Claraine McCarthy, all of California; and three siblings, Abelardo Arcaute, Edelmira Alvarado, both of San Juan, and Maria Luisa Ceron of Houston.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at a later date, at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
