We are all hoping that the meeting this week between President Trump and Un will eventually result in an official end to the Korean War, as well as the removal of nuclear bombs, missiles, and the equipment to make them from North Korea. Regardless of the results, however, we need to harden our nation’s electrical grid.
If North Korea largely complied with the removal but hid a single intercontinental ballistic missile and a single nuclear warhead, it could cripple our country and set off a series of events that might well kill the majority of Americans. Since we have no idea of how many such warheads North Korea possesses, it is impossible to verify total removal.
