Roseanne

Late one night last week, I tuned in to KURV (local AM radio station) as I was driving to the airport to pick up my wife. At that particular time, the radio station airs a program featuring the weird and kooky. That night the discussion turned to Roseanne Barr’s firing, and the host noted that she’d been on his show several times espousing conspiracy theories and was a friend of the program.
The fact is Roseanne has long been known for taking outrageous views and pulling equally outrageous stunts. ABC knew that when they hired her and booked the reboot of her sitcom. There was the time in 2009, for example, when she was on a magazine cover dressed like Hitler and holding people-shaped cookies. She has also accused Israel of being a Nazi state and advocated beheading bankers.
