I sat through five long, did I mention long, weeks of testimony in the capital murder trial of Monica Melissa (Palacios) Patterson; listened to all of the testimony; looked over all of the evidence; and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the former PSJA Bearette and failed business owner not only engineered the brutal, cold-blooded murder of 96-year-old Martin “Marty” Knell in January 2015, but she also stole more than a hundred grand, easy, make it closer to $200k, from the Comfort House (nonprofit hospice).
If the CH board had done a pre-employment background check on her before her hire, red flags would have popped up all over the radar. IRS tax liens tend to do that; but instead, the board hired her without checking into her background.
